The
Highlands Middle School Athletic Department celebrated the girls and boys who made up all sports teams during the 2011-12 school year. The event was held in the school cafeteria and hosted by Rod Carter, Highland’s Athletic Director. Assistant Athletic Director Katrina Hendon also helped in putting the ceremony together. Several students received awards including the following top honors:
- Principal's Scholar Athlete Award - Presented by Dr. Tyrone A. Blue, Principal
Byron DeSue (3.00 GPA)
Dayneshia Banks (3.43 GPA)
- Iron Man and Iron Lady Award - Presented by Coach Rod Carter
