Alden Road Exceptional Student Center Gears Up for Teacher/Student Challenges

Students at Alden Road Exceptional Student Center are getting ready for the first of their four annual Teacher/Student Challenge events. Coming up in October, teams composed of students, teachers and staff will compete in an adapted bowling tournament.

Three additional Teacher/Student Challenge events will be held later in the year. These events include adapted volleyball in December, a progressive dinner obstacle course in March and the end of year relay races in May.

The Teacher/Student Challenge events are designed so students with all ability levels can participate. These team events are a learning opportunity where students have a chance to have fun while also learning to work together to accomplish a goal.

Participants design team shirts and signs and come prepared to have fun and win. The whole school gets involved by attending each event and cheering on the teachers and students as they compete in the different challenges. At the end of the event a Teacher/Student Challenge trophy will be awarded.
