A. Philip Randolph Cosmetology Students Jump-Start Careers for a Cause

Cosmetology students at A. Philip Randolph participated in a community-wide Pink Pampering Party for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, hosted by Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. Seven senior students were able to showcase the talents they learned in the Cosmetology Academy, while also earning volunteer hours.

The Pink Pampering Party allowed the students to provide manicures and pedicures to guests at the community event. The senior cosmetology students will take their state board exams in June 2012 to become fully licensed cosmetologists, which is something that usually happens at the collegiate level.

Good luck to these A. Philip Randolph students:

• Alexis W.
• Ivory J.
• Lashawnna M.
• Makaylia G.
• Naadia C.
• Rodnisha Y.
• Tiara H.
