Men from around town visited
Henry F. Kite Elementary for the first annual Real Men Read event. Several volunteers participated in the event, including local businessmen, community and civic leaders, and other professionals.
The Honorable Paula D. Wright, School Board member, was also present to support the occasion. Participants read aloud in classrooms, and expressed the importance of literacy with primary and intermediate students.
Students had the opportunity to inquire about the various career paths represented by the volunteers. Real Men Read hopes to inspire students to continue to read both inside and outside the classroom.
