Spotlight On Education

Mad Scientist Night at Andrew Robinson Elementary

Andrew Robinson Elementary was home to Mad Scientist Night with parents and students observing the power and value that science represents every day. Ms. Elsner, a science teacher, puts fun into science as she interactively teaches the subject.

Parents, students and teachers enjoyed the experiments that flew, smoked, rolled, floated and exploded during Mad Scientist Night. Teachers managed scientific websites such as Grossology that provided demonstrations in biology, astronomy, astrophysics, meteorology and chemistry.

“In our ever-changing world and economy, students who have a greater understanding and appreciation for science will become more successful and marketable as they pursue future careers,” said Ms. Elsner.

One of the school’s themes, No Opportunity Wasted (NOW), applied during the event where students were able to learn and apply their skill sets to new activities and experiences. Science ruled the night at Andrew Robinson Elementary.
