Dinsmore Elementary Students Bring Favorite Book Characters to Life

Students at Dinsmore Elementary took the opportunity to support Read It Forward Jax! by dressing as their favorite book character for a school-wide book parade. Teachers joined in the fun as they created character costumes to support reading.

Dinsmore Elementary’s teachers hope to immerse the students in the reading process. The parade allowed all grade levels to see the excitement of literature. Students created face masks and posters to accessorize their costumes. Some chose a vocabulary word from the book, while others drew pictures from the stories. Parents were present to take pictures of the students as they passed by, holding their books of choice.
