Performers from Artz Out Loud visited classes at
Southside Middle School, showing how the arts can be integrated in education. The group performed “The World Turned Upside Down: The American Revolution.” Students watched closely as the group addressed civics and what it means to be an American.
The interactive performance called for students to learn the music, important documents, dates, events and personalities that continue to shape the United States. Students learned that men such as George Washington, General Henry Knox, Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson were fighting for our freedom. America is a place where all people know they are created equal.
The Artz Out Loud routine brought history to life and created a memorable experience for Southside Middle School.
