Nineteen teams of sixth- through eighth-grade students from public and private schools in Northeast Florida recently competed in Math Field Day. The competition has been in existence for nearly 20 years and includes both team and individual math events.
The event was held at Julia Landon College Preparatory for the third year in a row. The following schools participated in the competition:

Volunteers from University of North Florida, Jacksonville University and Florida State University were the judges for the competition.
Congratulations to four Duval County Public Schools for
winning first-,
second-, third- and fourth-place in the competition. Students at
Julia Landon
came in first-place.
Landmark Middle students received second-place.
James Weldon Johnson students received third-place.
Fletcher Middle
students took home fourth-place.
