Two Duval High Schools' NJROTC Teams Advance to National Competition
Thirteen NJROTC Air Rifle teams representing eight schools competed in the Area 12 Three-Position (Prone, Standing, Kneeling) Shoulder-to-Shoulder Air Rifle competition on January 5, 2013. The event was hosted by First Coast High School at the Gateway Rifle & Pistol Range. At the end of the competition, Ed White High School and First Coast High School's teams took home third- and fourth-places respectively.
Ed White and First Coast high schools' NJROTC teams will advance to the Area 12 Air Rifle Championships on Saturday, January 26, 2013 in Anniston, Alabama.
This year marks the first time in 17 years that the Ed White High School NJROTC team has qualified for the national competition. This honor also marks the second consecutive year that the First Coast High School NJROTC team will advance to the national level.
Congratulations to both teams on advancing to the national competition and good luck in the upcoming meets in Anniston!
