Twin Lakes Elementary Students Say "Just Keep Reading"
During the first week of October, the students at Twin Lakes Academy Elementary participated in their annual kick-off for the Principal's Reading Challenge. Each grade level had to choose a particular author and specific book by that author. The students were asked to come dressed as a character from the story or come portrayed as the book itself.
During the celebration, kindergarten through fifth-grade teachers and students actively celebrated authors and their works and pledged to read one million words or 25 books by the end of the school year. It was a fun-filled learning experience for all. The theme throughout the day was "JUST KEEP READING!"
