Thomas Jefferson Elementary Supports the Cure
Thomas Jefferson Elementary has been promoting Breast Cancer Awareness during the month of October. Various students and teachers have distributed pink ribbons to symbolize support of the cause.
The school designated October 19 as Wear Pink for the Cure Day and promoted it daily on the WTJE morning news. Pictures were taken of students and adults wearing pink on that day. Male teachers and students were photographed holding a sign that read, "Tough Guys Wear Pink." Several members of the Thomas Jefferson community also participated the following day in the
Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
