To assist Duval County public schools in developing
strong, innovative, collaborative partnerships within
the community, which include parents and families,
educators, nonprofits, for-profits, faith-based, civic
groups and government agencies, to enhance the quality
of instructional services provided to Duval students.

helps to create an internally welcoming and culturally
respectful environment throughout the district in order
to establish positive and collaborative working
relationships between district offices and schools, and
between schools and strategic partners. She builds collaborative partnerships within the
community, including providing specific departmental, school based and
district trainings.

Karen provides the planning and development of
district-wide projects that will enhance school
partnerships. Some of the specific projects include
higher education partnerships, grant research and
application, compliance, Family Day Initiatives,
Principal For A Day, and awards and recognitions.

Cynthia assists staff and volunteer efforts in managing a
productive volunteer service. This includes training
school-based volunteer liaisons, monitoring and
selecting candidates that qualify for awards, monitoring
and background screenings. She also provides ongoing
communication and technical assistance for volunteers
and recipients of the services.

Victor supports teaching and learning through
collaborative business partnerships. The partnerships
involve building and maintaining relationships at the
district and school-based level with non-profit, for
profit (corporate and business), governmental, civic and
community organizations to support positive development
of ALL students.

Dewitt
identifies organizations that will assist schools to
achieve specific goals and objectives. Training and
technical assistance is provided through existing
partnering agencies. Additionally he assesses,
maintains, and develops relationships with
faith-based organizations, schools and the district.
He also
provides a centralized location for effective mentor
management. The Community & Family Engagement office
works with partnering agencies to develop community wide
efforts to recognize and promote mentoring through Mentor
Jax, school-based liaisons, local governmental and civic
associations, and the United Way of Northeast Florida.
