MISSION
To improve and expand the resources, opportunities, and relationships with faith-based and interfaith agencies to more effectively serve the students of Duval County.
We know that the faith-based community is a very important support system for many families throughout Duval County. And we also know that when families and communities work together with schools, students' success is greatly enhanced. The Department of Community & Family Engagement works alongside DCPS' Faith-based Council to identify organizations that will assist schools in reaching goals and objectives outlined in School Improvement Plans.
Faith-based Partnerships advance interfaith cooperation to improve education. It promotes collaboration and sharing of resources and information between faith-based, community groups, schools and parents.
The Department of Community & Family Engagement assesses, maintains and develops relationships with faith-based organizations, schools and the District to unite a variety of stakeholders to promote student success. This office provides technical assistance to the Council, to existing faith-based partners and to new agencies that are interested in building relationships with the
district or with neighborhood schools.
