B.E.L.L. Special Projects
Building Engaged Leaders in Learning
The metaphor of an old fashioned school bell represents the value of education and specifically the value of
partnerships in education. Through the Department of Community and Family Engagement, a series of B.E.L.L. special events will
offer opportunities for all stakeholders to become engaged in supporting the well-being of all Duval County Public School students
and their families.
B.E.L.L. Special Projects are designed to assist the district in achieving district goals through the
avenues of special events and projects, focusing on the areas of building relationships with strategic partners - promoting
service excellence, increasing volunteer/mentors and improving family engagement.
The specific events and projects are created throughout the year may be at the district level, involve multiple schools or with
an individual school. Events and projects may also be in collaboration with the district's community partners or state or national-level
education partnerships. The primary outcome goal of every event or project is to support Duval County Public School students in
achieving their social-emotional and academic achievement.

experience into a long-term relationship with the school thus supporting the overall academic achievement of students. The Community
and Family Engagement office will host the district Principal for a Day Program November
5, 2009. If you are interested in finding out more information, please contact:
