Principal Leadership Exchange
Where Business Leaders and
Principals exchange valuable ideas and experiences to
promote public education…
What is the
Principal Leadership Exchange?
The Principal Leadership Exchange encourages the
private sector to experience public education through a
Principal for a Day opportunity. The goal of the
program is for community and business stakeholders to
translate their one-day experience into positive
long-term relationships with schools, thus supporting
the overall academic achievement of students.
Who
participates in the Principal Leadership Exchange?
Committed business, faith-based and community leaders
who wish to transform their passion for education into
action through partnering and leveraging their resources
to support Duval County Public Schools.
What is the
schedule and time commitment for the Principal
Leadership Exchange?
Invitations to participate are sent to business,
faith-based and community leaders. Applications
are reviewed, and school matches are established pending
availability. Participants spend the day at school
with their principal, followed with a debriefing session
in the late afternoon with all participants and
principals.
It is our hope that
business,
faith-based and community leaders develop an on-going partnership
with a school or the school district. The Department of Community and Family Engagement staff
members are available to assist.
