During the 2007-2008 school year, 18,733 volunteers provided 663,199 volunteer hours, which have a monetary value of $12.9 million, to Duval County Public Schools.
Volunteers are an important part of student success in Duval County Public Schools. More than 18,000 volunteers support schools each year, and the number is growing.
The Community and Family Engagement office works to increase the number of volunteers in schools in order to improve student learning.
