Belief 3:  We believe that all leadership possess an innovative, unified focus resulting in being responsive to the needs of students, parents, and the community through creating a safe, inviting, learning environment by building positive relationships and creating an atmosphere of dignity and respect.     

The Leadership

  1. Builds teams to ensure the support of all into the vision.  Teams will include the following:
    1. Students, Staff, and Administration will all serve in various forms but distributed within professional learning communities
    2. Teams will include a variety of grade levels, but be based by student/mentor/advisor approach.  
    3. Leaders in each area of stakeholders identified, supported, employed, and rotated on a regular basis
  2. Develops and provided on-going evaluations to the current modis operendi of the school and challenges what current process’ are in place that need to be changed such as:
    1. Rituals
    2. Routines
    3. Relationships
    4. Rigor
    5. Relevance
    6. Resources
    7. Reach (stretching myself, teachers, and students to go above and beyond)
  3. Encourages teachers and building relationships
    1. Support teachers to step out and try new things, celebrate their successes and their struggles
    2. Encourage teachers using classroom standards, engaging work for students, active student relationship building through positive feedback
    3. Build relationships with staff to ensure a high level of trust 
    4. Move from managing staff to leading leaders
  4. Model all expectations of teachers, for teachers:
    1. Staff meetings will be engaging and examples of ways to build relationships and impact students through positive reinforcement and guidance (share fair’s, table talk’s, pasteboard sessions)
    2. Attendance to trainings and meetings that are required by teachers
    3. Evidence of leadership as a learner
    4. Ensure that walking the walk is occurring as often as talking the talk
  5. Practice Continuous Improvement and PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) on a regular basis to continue to use what is working, and make corrections to areas of weakness
  6. Works with all stakeholders (staff, teachers, parents, students, and community) to develop a vision for the school that ensures that everything is on purpose and engaging
