For the 2009-2010 school year, middle and high school class schedules will be adjusted to shorten the school day by 45 minutes, with the exception of Frank H. Peterson and A.P. Randolph Academies of Technology and Douglas Anderson and LaVilla Schools of the Arts.
- The traditional* high school schedule will be 7:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
- The traditional* middle school schedule will be 9:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Elementary schedules will remain the same
*Middle and high schools designated as magnet schools will shift accordingly and
