Through research and examination, the National Dropout Prevention Center/Network has identified 15 effective strategies that positively impact the dropout rate.
This page also provides links to:
- overviews of each of the strategies
- print and electronic resources that support these strategies
- names of model programs that are effectively utilizing these strategies.
From the Model Programs page, you can link into the NDPC/N Program Database to get more information, including contact information for programs that may interest you. Hopefully, you will find this information useful as you plan activities and strategies to reduce your district's dropout rate.
The ZIP Resource Guide to Substance Use and Violence Prevention/Intervention Services is an excellent resource in addressing personal safety in response to issues of substance use and violence among young people at all levels of American society.
The document is compiled by the Health Education Department of Duval County Public Schools and is designed to provide access to available resources in our community. The resources are listed alphabetically as well as divided into four components: treatment agencies, counseling agencies, support groups, and community/professional/education organizations.
