Duval County Public Schools
offers two (2) programs for pregnant and parent
students.
- The Young Parent(s)/Guardian Program at the
Possibilities and Success Academy (PASS) at A.
Philip Randolph Academies of Technology is a special
program designed by the Duval County Public School
System pursuant to s.1003.54, F.S., to meet the
needs of students who are pregnant, students who are
parenting, and the children of these students. This
on-site comprehensive teenage parenting program is a
voluntary educational program designed to provide
inclusive educational and ancillary services in
order to facilitate the parents’ ability to remain
in school and work toward a standard or special high
school diploma. Students that would
like to participate in a full-time on-site program
dedicated to pregnant students should contact
the
PASS Academy at (904) 924-3011 for more
information.

- The Teen Parent Service Center
provides services to parenting teens
via case management, coordination of health and
social service referrals, parenting skills,
childcare assistance, career development assistance,
and the coordination of community agency referrals.
Career planning and academic
follow-up is used as a tool for educational and
life-skills development.
Teen Parent Service Center
The Teen Parent Service Center
coordinates ancillary services such as, childcare,
health care, social services and transportation, to
ensure that teen parents remain in school, earn a high
school diploma and become self sufficient. The program
is available to teen parents attending Duval County
Public Schools including the Academies of Technology,
PACE Center
for Girls,
Charter
Schools, Drop Back-In
Sites, and other public alternative education programs.
OBTAINING CHILDCARE SERVICES
Teen parents who are currently
enrolled in a Duval County
Public School are eligible
to receive child care services through a district
approved day care center. Contact the Teen Parent
Service Center Office at 390-2050 for eligibility
requirements and to schedule an orientation appointment.
Orientation for program services is held Monday through
Friday 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and Thursday from 3:00
p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Note* The child’s birth certificate
and social security card are required for program
enrollment.

Daycare center owners who would like
to become a vendor with the Duval County Public Schools
