Suzanne Magish has taught for 27 years in Duval County. Suzanne believes that in order to successfully teach a child, you should provide a safe learning environment for them, nurture them and establish a personal connection.

She has mentored several new teachers and finds that she gets as much out of those relationships as the teacher being mentored. She believes that their desire to learn, total commitment and unrestrained enthusiasm is both contagious and inspiring.  She uses these experiences along with her professional development through conferences, workshops and educational journals to keep abreast of current strategies and trends.

“Each child is unique in their own way. Because of these differences we must be willing to really ‘know’ our children, to make a personal connection with them if we are really to teach and reach the total child. The rewards of this are boundless and exponentially more gratifying than the initial time investment.”

~Suzanne Magish

“Ms. Magish has developed an ability to bridge the connection between teachers and students. This emphasis along with building effective relationships inside and outside of the classroom has proven to be one of the most instrumental components to accelerating student achievement.”
