ARRA Stimulus Funds
The American Recovery and
Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 was enacted on February
17, 2009 as an economic stimulus package geared toward
the following goals with a major emphasis on education
reform and creating/saving jobs:

Create or save the
jobs of educators

Improve student
achievement through school improvement
and information

Support struggling
schools

Ensure
transparency, reporting and
accountability

Invest one-time
ARRA funds thoughtfully to minimize the
funding cliff
