Reimbursement
Information
Duval County Schools is committed to assisting all of our core subject area
teachers in meeting the criteria of Highly Qualified. The Title I office may
reimburse a teacher for the costs of a subject area examination and the
corresponding study guide. Financial awards will be based on the employee’s
compliance with the conditions stated below:

Must be the
current teacher of record of a core subject area (elementary education, English,
mathematics, reading, language arts, science, foreign languages, civics,
government. Economics, arts-visual/performing excluding dance, history,
geography).

Subject area
examination (SAE) must have been taken and study guide purchased after
4/16/2005.

Reimbursements
include the appropriate SAE cost only or appropriate SAE cost and the
corresponding study guide cost.

SAE cost will be
reimbursed at the regular rate ($25.00) for one (1) sitting and must be in the
core academic area for which you are teaching as per NCLB legislation.

Study Guide cost
will only be reimbursed for the purchase of (1) guide. The Study Guide
reimbursement must in conjunction with a correlating FTCE reimbursement.

Application Process
You must submit:

An FTCE/Study
Guide Reimbursement
Form to the Highly Qualified Office no later than 60 days
after examination sitting including-
-
A copy of your
official SAE score report, The original
(not a photo-copy) receipt for
purchase of study guide,
-
A copy of the
cover of study guide with your reimbursement application.
