Program Models
Workshop Model
The inservice model is
designed as a cohort model in which teachers attend
workshops in a collegial atmosphere to learn
professional education content. Saturday sessions are
scheduled so as to not conflict with the school calendar
(holidays). Summer sessions are also available.
On-line Model
The on-line program is for
teachers who are self-motivated, have access to the
Internet and would benefit from a flexible study
schedule. The program offers professional education
coursework through distance learning. On-line mentor
support is also available.
Target Audience
Full time teachers, new to
Duval County, in need of professional education
coursework in order to obtain a professional teaching
certificate.
Timeline
The timeline is a minimum of
180 days to a maximum of the expiration of the temporary
teaching certificate. |
