alternative certification program
program models/cost
There are three models available in
the Alternative Certification Program. Cost
for each model is $950.00, payable in three installments. The
portfolio for each model takes approximately six months to one year to
complete.
IN-SERVICE (WORKSHOP)
MODEL
The workshop model is designed as a
cohort model in which teachers attend workshops in a
collegial atmosphere to learn professional education
content. Eighteen Saturday sessions are scheduled
over a ten month period. Summer sessions are also
available.
TRADITIONAL ON-LINE MODEL
The on-line model program is designed for teachers who
are self-motivated, have access to the internet and
would benefit from a flexible study schedule. The
program offers professional education coursework through
distance learning. On-line mentor support is also
available.
MODIFIED ON-LINE MODEL
The modified on-line model is designed for teachers who
are self-motivated, have access to the internet and
would benefit from a flexible study schedule and
workshop schedule. The program offers professional
education coursework through distance learning and
face-to-face workshops. On-line mentor support is also
available.
