Each academic school year, schools create a theme encompassing the goals that they would like to communicate to all stakeholders.  As the new principal of Stilwell, I have chosen to convey to parents, faculty staff and students the acronym E.S.S.E.N.C.E. Webster defines the word essence as being the heart or core of something; the most important ingredient.  Therefore, it is our responsibility to focus on Stilwell’s essence – its students by Empowering Stilwell’s Scholars to Excel in a New Culture of Excellence.  I believe that all of our students are capable of learning; therefore, I refer to them as scholars. 

Stilwell is one of Duval County’s finest institutions of learning as a direct result of a great faculty and staff who have committed themselves to believing in our E.S.S.E.N.C.E.   We have established high academic, behavioral and social expectations for each of our scholars and will help them to meet our expectations daily throughout their academic journey at Stilwell.

We will continue to apprise you of your scholar’s academic progress thorough phone calls, emails, newsletters and progress reports.  Remember, I have an open door policy and desire to work with each of you to make a difference in the lives of our scholars!
