Putting the Pieces Together

In the poem entitled A Creed to Live By, there is a stanza that reads: “don’t be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect, it is the fragile thread that binds us to each other.”  Truer words could not better define the message behind Stockton’s theme for this year: putting the pieces together.  We all have strengths and gifts and we all have areas in which to improve upon and to grow.  In the long run, it is only as we work together that we can make extraordinary things happen for ourselves and others. Covey refers to this concept as synergy: the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
