How Do I Find A Position?

Duval County Public Schools would like to make your move with us a successful one, be sure to review the step-by-step procedures listed below. These steps were designed to assist you with your job search.

The School-Based Staffing Department assists qualified teacher candidates with their job search process; however, principals make the final decision on the candidates they interview and hire.

Follow the steps below to apply for a position.

Step 1
You have verified that you meet the requirements for Florida Certification. If not, please go back and review the Application Process.
 

Step 2
Complete the On-line Instructional Application for Duval County Public Schools and submitted the required documentation. If you do not know what documentation is required, please refer the Application Process.

Step 3
Request a district interview with one of the School-Based Staffing Supervisors according to level of schooling that you   are interested in.

Step 4
Request a current list of vacancies from the district’s Human Resource office 390-2000.

Step 5
Submit your resume to the location advertising the opening.

Step 6
The principal or administrator reviews the resumes and selects candidates to interview based on the qualifications of the candidate and requirements for the position. If you are selected for an interview, a representative from the school will contact you directly. Be sure that your resume includes all of your contact information (i.e. cell phone, email, etc.).
