Car Rider Prodcedures

All families who will be picking up students from the car loop area must fill out an application to receive a car tag.  Applications will be available during Orientation on Thursday, August 16, 2012 (Kindergarten) and Friday, August 17, 2012 (Grades 1-5) in the cafeteria.  Each family will receive one car tag and additional tags may be purchased for $1.00 each.  If, after August 17th, you would like to pick up your child in carpool, please complete the application below and return it to the main office to receive a car tag.

Please have your carpool number displayed on your rearview mirror at all times when picking up your child especially on the first day that you pick up from the car loop.  Please do not write your number on a piece of paper or yell your number out of the window, you MUST have a car tag.  Remember additional tags are always available for $1.00 in the front office.  We recommend that you get a tag for each car that will be picking up your child.

Twin Lakes Traffic Flow for Carpooling

Please observe the following traffic flow pattern for drop-off and pick up of Twin Lakes students. Doing so will provide the quickest transit times and maximum safety for our students.

From Gate Parkway: Cars should line up in the right turn lane of Point Meadows Drive, noting the direction of travel in the picture below. Please pull as far to the right as possible, so traffic can pass safely. Parking along the curb on these streets is prohibited.

From Baymeadows: Cars should line up in the left turn lane of Point Meadows Drive, noting the direction of travel in the picture below. Please be mindful of passing traffic and cars turning into the school from Gate Parkway.

Only right hand turns are allowed from Twin Lakes school parking lot back onto Point Meadows Drive. Left hand turns are prohibited to protect children in the crosswalk and to ease the flow of traffic. All cars must use the traffic flow pattern shown below. Please turn right out of the school parking lot onto Point Meadows to relieve congestion near the car pool lane.

Be aware that students will be crossing at the car loop entrance along the sidewalk.  You must always yield for these students.
