Important Information for ALL VOLUNTEERS
for the 2012-2013 School Year
To ensure the safety of all of our students, we are following our volunteer policy.
∑ We will maintain a database of the names of all volunteers at Twin Lakes Academy Elementary.
∑ ALL VOLUNTEERS must undergo a criminal background screening that is conducted, at no charge, by Duval County Public Schools. If you have a valid Volunteer ID card or a current Volunteer Authorization letter, then you do not have to do anything at this time. However, if you do not have either one of these documents or need to renew your clearance, you must submit an online application at www.duvalschools.org/static/offcampus/volunteer as soon as possible.
∑ Clearances are good for 2 years.
∑ The first time you come to volunteer, you will present your driverís license to the receptionist, along with your volunteer ID or authorization letter if you have either, so your name and the expiration date of your clearance can be entered into our volunteer database.
∑ PLEASE NOTE: Only people who are in our database and whose clearance has not expired will be allowed to volunteer in any capacity at our school. This includes classroom volunteers and chaperones for field trips.
∑ All Volunteers are asked to attend a Volunteer Orientation that will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2011. There will be a 9:00 a.m. session and a 7:00 p.m. session. Volunteers only need to attend one session.
∑ Volunteers should also complete and submit the School Volunteer Information form. Click here to print the School Volunteer Information form. Please submit just one form/person, regardless of the number of children you have who attend Twin Lakes.
If you would like to check the status of your volunteer application, please email email@example.com and be sure to include your full name and the date you submitted the online application. You should receive a response within 72 hours.
