  • Elective Course Selections - Students completed Elective Choice Forms during the spring in their English classes. There are some students who did not return the forms. We will be sending out an email in early July directly to those who did not return the elective sheet.  During orientation, in August, you will be getting your student's schedule and will have an opportunity to request elective changes or correct any mistakes.

Welcome to the Den! Twin Lakes Academy Middle School (TLAM) is home to 1200 students in grades 6-8 from Beach Boulevard to Bartram Springs. The school is centrally located on the Southside of Jacksonville. Its location on Baymeadows Road along Interstate 9A makes it accessible regardless of place of residence. We offer comprehensive and challenging curricula from our most challenging gifted courses to our more supportive intensive courses in reading and math. Students who meet our prerequisite classes have the opportunity to take up to four high school classes (Algebra I, Geometry, Biology and Spanish I) during their time at TLAM.This year we are adding a pre-college course in the 7th grade, designed to prepare our academically talented for an 8th grade college elective course we hope to add next year.  We also have a state of the art STEM lab, 2D and 3D visual arts rooms, a comprehensive band and choral suite and three computer labs. Each academic classroom is equipped with a laptop cart and a large screen digital display screen and student response system.  In addition, we have a full range of opportunities available in athletics, the arts and a variety of clubs and activities.
