Hello,

I am Scott Schneider, your new Terry Parker High School Principal.  I am also a proud TPHS class of '94 alumni.  I am married to an awesome wife and elementary teacher here in the county;  we have a wonderful son Grant and a wonderful little girl Sterling.  I am a huge Gator and Osprey fan, so wearing red and black and doing the chop would not be possible if this weren’t my Alma Mater.  I have a Bachelors degree from the University of North Florida in Special Education and a Masters Degree from the University of North Florida in Education Leadership, Go Ospreys.

I have 6 years of teaching experience and instructional/ESE Coaching experience at the secondary level.  I served one year as a District Support Specialist as well.  My administrative experience began at Robert E. Lee High School.  We began my first year 10 points from an "F" school; three years later we were  a "C" school with a National Model Engineering Academy.  I spent my next two years  at Jean Ribault High School where we were labeled as an "Intervene" high school.  Ribault had an overall school grade of an "F" when I began and this November will have an overall school grade of at least a "C" due to a tremendous staff of teachers and a lot of hard work.

I begin this exciting time at TPHS after your 2 fantastic years under the leadership of Addison Davis and a tremendous staff! I look forward to giving back to my Alma Mater, community, and the great students here at Terry Parker High School.  Our school motto is “Our time is now!” because it truly is what our students are doing right NOW that will impact their lives forever.  The education that a student receives will determine the choices that will be available in the years to come.  Please help us help you and your child acquire the level of education that will enable your child to reach beyond the stars!  We cannot wait until tomorrow, OUR TIME IS NOW!

Hello, my name is Ms. Torrance, I received my bachelors degree from Florida A&M and received my masters from the University of North Florida. My goal is to become a principal, then university administrator, and act as a consultant for school districts. MY mission for Terry Parker is to make sure all students are successful, and make the impossible possible, by lending students an ear and going above and beyond to make sure students have a voice in the school. Terry Parker teachers should be able to work better and closer with students, and get them on the correct path the best way they know how; by teaching them skills that will prove priceless in their later years. I work with EYL (emerging young leaders) and have a mentee under my wing whom I am helping divert from the wrong path. I am also in the Achievers for life program, which trains future community leaders. My later goal is to tour Europe and settle down after.

I graduated from S.U.N.Y. (State University of New York) with a bachelors degree, and obtained my Masters from the University of Phoenix. My educational experience began 10 years ago as a paraprofessional in New York. The past 6 years have been spent in the Duval County system where I taught fourth grade, coordinated the implementation of two IB Primary Years Programmes and served as an instructional coach before joining the Terry Parker administration team. As an advocate for students, my belief is that the most important facet of learning is the process of individualizing the educational experience. Working within a small learning community maximizes the opportunity to meet the needs of all stakeholders. The dynamic Seniors/ESE community continues to strive towards excellence and positive outcomes relating to development and achievement.

My dream for Terry Parker is to continue to move onward and upward. The reality is that we are well on our way with a dedicated staff and ambitious students who are supported by parents and the community

I graduated from the University of North Florida with both Bachelor and Masters degree tucked under my arm. I taught Middle school math, and spent some time as a P.E., Science, and Graphic Arts teacher. My main hobby is working on my yard, because nothing attests one's success better than a well groomed lawn.

My goals for Terry Parker is to make it THE premier school that children in and out of the community will want to attend.  My prevalent goal for the global business house is to prepare children to become prolific achievers and excel in the business field, classes such as culinary for example, prepare students to become highly successful chefs, and assist them in owning their own eating establishments. GB will ensure students can get ahead in business regardless the career paths they choose.

I graduated from Alabama A&M University with my Bachelors and got my Masters from The University of North Florida. I taught Special Education before becoming an administrator. I enjoy Soccer, Golf, acting as a mentor, and contributing to many various tasks that assists my community.

I believe that all students can learn and achieve, when they are provided support systems that will evoke a strong belief in self and a toolkit that will equip them to take on all of life's challenges.

The best thing about being in the most scientific community in Terry Parker is the culture and the camaraderie. Students and teachers alike work together to learn more about the natural world. And Terry Parker's ACES program is the basis for that belief. As a balanced institution boasting an elite academic and athletic program, it is an ideal college preparatory school.
