Meet Our Administrators
Sharon Sanders
Principal
I am so excited to be
serving Windy Hill Elementary school as their principal for
the second year. I have been in education for over 25
years, 12 in Duval and several years in Mississippi.
I have a
Masters Degree in Elementary Education and Administration,
Reading Specialist K- 12, and have finished all of my
doctoral work in Education Leadership. I am currently
writing my dissertation to complete my doctorate.
When I have time outside of
school I am spending it with my family and friends.
My son
Charles graduated from University of Alabama Law School, and
my daughter Allison Leigh graduated from FSU and is an
elementary school teacher. I love the beach, reading
mysteries and traveling. My secret love is collecting
children's picture books.

Assistant Principal
Greetings Windy Hill Family and Friends!
I am truly delighted to be Windy Hill
Elementary‘s assistant principal. I began my career in the
Duval County Public Schools as a paraprofessional followed
by teaching Exceptional Education students in grades first
through fifth. Additionally, I served as a Teacher
Instructional Support Personnel (TIS). For several years I
have been an assistant principal. This is my second year as
the assistant principal at Windy Hill Elementary.
I received my Masters degree from
Nova Southeastern University in Educational Leadership and
my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and
Exceptional Education K-12 from Edward Waters College. I
attended the University of Florida and graduated from
William M. Raines High School. In addition to my K-12
Administration certification, I am also certified to
teach Elementary and ESE students in kindergarten through
twelfth grade.
My teaching experience and my
current position as assistant principal have equipped me
with the tools to successfully address the diverse concerns
of students, parents and faculty members. It is my goal to
ensure students receive a rigorous academic curriculum and a
nurturing, safe learning environment. All students will have
opportunities to learn and be one of the most creative and
brightest stars at Windy Hill Elementary!

school year in the Windy Hill Newsletter. Please be sure to
check for the monthly newsletter which is sent home with
your child.
Supporting
students in their education is our job ~ please talk to us ~
the doors of Windy Hill Elementary School are always
