AN INTEGRATED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

Our Curriculum is integrated in all aspects of each student’s experience.  From the moment students enter the school, learning begins.  A walk from the classroom to the cafeteria becomes a journey of oxygen from the nasal cavity down the wind pipe thru the lungs and into the blood stream.  The walls of the school display student artwork and are lined with posters of grade level scientific information and a wide variety of medical professions. 

The Medical Science Lab is the most intricate component of curriculum integration.  Students visit the lab once a week. During lab time, students work individually and in small groups to verify the principles studied in the other classrooms and school settings.
