Hello Stingray Nation!
This is a reminder that PSAT day is October 21st. Students will receive their test-day assignment via student email by the end of this week. Students who are testing on October 21st will need their fully charged laptop that day. Please note that we do not have loaner laptops available for testing. Students who do not bring their device to school on October 21st will not be able to take this important assessment. No makeup testing is available.
This Wednesday, October 14th, our entire school will conduct a critical Bluebook device check during third period. All students will open Bluebook, the app used for SAT and PSAT testing, at the same time so we can make sure the app, devices, and our network are ready for PSAT day. It is very important that your student is present on October 14th with their fully charged, school-issued laptop. Personal laptops and tablets (other than Chromebooks) may be used for PSAT testing; however, school personnel will not be able to provide technical support. If students are planning to use a personal device, they should download the official College Board Bluebook app and bring the device to school on October 14th.
Students who have not yet been issued a district laptop will receive one this week.
The next PERT will be offered on Wednesday, October 28th, after school. PERT is important for students who wish to take dual enrollment classes and is one avenue for earning senior leave. Students should check One View for a link to the registration sign-up. A QR code for the sign-up will be available on the Morning Rays, which can be accessed through YouTube. The sign-up will be close on Thursday, October 22nd.
The Data Triangle School Climate Survey opened on Monday, October 5th, and we want to hear from our families! The survey gives students, staff, families, and community members an opportunity to provide valuable feedback about our school. Your voice matters, and your participation helps us better understand our school community and identify areas for continued growth. Please use the QR code on the attached flyer or visit DCPS Surveys to complete the survey. The survey will remain open through October 23rd.
Yearbook photos will be taken for 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students on October 22nd and October 23rd through social studies classes. Make sure to dress your best that day! You can pre-purchase photos HERE. Save $10 when you preorder a package before picture day! Seniors: To be included in the yearbook you must schedule an appointment with Cady Studios. This is the only way seniors will be included in the yearbook. The deadline for seniors is January 26th.

Colleges and Career schools use the FAFSA form to determine how much financial aid you're eligible to receive, which could include grants, scholarships, work-study funds, and loans. To apply, visit: studentaid.gov. The earlier you apply, the better your chances of receiving the most aid available!
This is a reminder for seniors completing the Common Application. To successfully submit their applications, students must link their Common Application account with Xello. Step-by-step instructions for linking the accounts were provided during Senior Credit Check meetings and were also sent to students' DCPS email accounts. Please review the Senior Survival Guide for additional information and detailed instructions.
As always, if you have any feedback or input on our work here at Atlantic Coast please reach out to the school.
