Hello Stingray Nation!
Students will have Quarter 1 report cards published in Focus on Monday, October 19th. Families are encouraged to review report cards with their students, celebrate successes, and discuss areas for continued growth. If you have questions about your students’ grades or progress, please reach out to their teachers and our team so we can support. Thank you for your continued partnership in helping our Stingrays succeed!
This is a final reminder that Wednesday, October 21st, is PSAT Day. All juniors and sophomores will take the PSAT/NMSQT, and all freshmen will take the PSAT 8/9.Seniors who still need a qualifying reading or math score for graduation will take the SAT. Other seniors will report to an assigned study hall and should bring schoolwork to complete. We will follow an alternate bell schedule with a long morning testing block. There will be no student callouts before 11:10 AM. If your student is testing, please have them restart their school-issued laptop Tuesday night, then leave it plugged in and charging overnight. Students should arrive Wednesday on time with their fully charged laptop. Thank you for helping us make this important testing day run smoothly.
Yearbook photos will be taken for 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students this week on Thursday and Friday, October 22nd and October 23rd, through social studies classes. Seniors: To be included in the yearbook you must schedule an appointment with Cady Studios. This is the only way seniors will be included in the yearbook. The deadline for seniors is January 26th.
This is the last week to sign up for the October 28th PERT. Students should check OneView for a link to sign up or the Morning Rays for a QR code. The sign-up closes Thursday, October 22nd.
This is the final week to take the Data Triangle School Climate Survey. The survey gives students, staff, families, and community members an opportunity to provide valuable feedback about our school. Your voice matters, and your participation helps us better understand our school community and identify areas for continued growth. Please use the QR code on the attached flyer or visit DCPS Surveys to complete the survey. The survey will remain open through Friday, October 23rd.
The senior sunrise will be on October 27th starting at 6:45 AM on the football field. All seniors are invited to attend and are encouraged to wear their senior shirts for this event.
