Stingray Family,

As we embark on another school year, I am deeply humbled and honored to lead a school with such an engaged and committed student body, staff, and community. For those of you returning to AC, welcome back!  For those of you new to AC, welcome to the Stingray family!  Know this, I will work tirelessly to not only maintain but also grow the “A” we fought so hard for last year; we will continue our push to establish Atlantic Coast as the best high school in Duval County.

Diversity is our strength; family is our power.

We are tireless advocates of delivering the best possible education for every family who walks through our doors -- no excuses.  With the best staff in the city, we pride ourselves in providing a magnet-caliber education in a neighborhood school setting.

The theme for this year is “Putting in the work.”  Every member of the Stingray family, from our teachers to our student, will know what it means to put in the work necessary to yield extraordinary results in both college AND career settings.   Our work is to ensure that every young adult departs Atlantic Coast High School prepared to lead, making an impact on our ever-evolving society.  While the work is going to look different for everyone, one thing that will remain consistent will be our effort.

Our expectations are high, but so are our results.

Families, thank you for entrusting us with the education of your child.  You have many options when it comes to educating your child and you chose us.  We take that responsibility seriously.  At Atlantic Coast, safety is everyone’s top priority. We strive to create an environment where all stakeholders feel empowered to speak up when there is a concern.  If you have any questions, my door is always open, or I can be reached at Email Dr. Michael George.

Best,

Michael George
