Technology
If you need a laptop or internet then please contact Mr. Stuckey or Mr. Townsend via email as soon as possible.
If you are having issues with DCPS issued laptops or hotspots, please call the help desk, 904-348-5200.
If you need directions on how to access your course on Virtual Days (Teams), please email your teacher.
If you are in Teams and some of your classes are missing then email the teachers of those classes directly. They can add you to their classes in Teams.
If you are in Teams and you have more classes showing than you're scheduled then it is likely that you experienced a schedule change during the year and your inactive courses rolled in to Teams. Do NOT interact or engage in those class. Ignore.
Schedule
On campus students will follow an A Day, B Day rotation. Technology students (Cyber, Video Gaming, Early College) will be on campus Monday & Thursday. Advanced students (Sports Medicine, JROTC) will be on campus Tuesday & Friday.
We have a structured schedule so that teachers can answer content and section specific questions.
If a student cannot engage during a specific time then they need to reach out to their teachers directly via email or Teams chat. We will work with them to get work and questions answered. Do not stress this.
Attendance
Teachers will take attendance while managing classes throughout the day.
The main way teachers will monitor attendance for virtual days is by "assignment completion".
If a student cannot attend a virtual class at a specific time then they need to communicate with the teacher directly.
Grades
Teachers will not inundate students with busy work. Work will be meaningful and aligned to standards. We expect students to complete their assignments.
Senior students and Athletes need to take their work seriously. Seniors need a 2.0 to receive a diploma. Athletes need a 2.0 to be able to participate in sports.
Communication
Students, please check your DCPS emails numerous times throughout the day.
Follow all social media sites, if possible, and check the website for updates.
Go to Teams classes and interact with your teachers and peers to enhance your experience.
Whether you are passing or not, schedule time with the teacher during office hours to confirm learning and expectations.
