The Safety Patrol program in collaboration with Jacksonville Sherriff's Department provides students with leadership opportunities. Being a safety patrol offers students lessons in leadership, critical thinking, and the safety of other and themselves. Arlington Elementary Safety Patrols can be easily identified by their bright colored belts and badges worn daily. Patrols are trained to help enforce the school’s rituals and routines while monitoring the safety of students during the arrival and dismissal process.
