The Baldwin High School Wrestling program took a major step forward last season, and our wrestlers showed what can happen when hard work, commitment, and a relentless mindset come together.

For the first time in many years, Baldwin Wrestling finished the season with a winning record in dual matches, going 5–3. Our success extended beyond dual meets as well, with Baldwin having place winners in every tournament we competed in throughout the season. That consistency demonstrated the growth, competitiveness, and determination of our team.

Our postseason success was even more historic. Nine Baldwin wrestlers qualified for the Regional Tournament—the most regional qualifiers in school history. These wrestlers represented our program with pride and continued to raise the standard for Baldwin Wrestling.

We also celebrated a milestone that will forever be part of Baldwin Wrestling history. Taylor Davenport became Baldwin’s first-ever state place winner, finishing 3rd at the state tournament. His accomplishment represents not only an incredible individual achievement, but also the progress our entire program is making.

As coaches, we are extremely proud of what this team accomplished. However, we also understand that success is not the finish line. It is the foundation we build upon.

Our goal moving forward is simple: get better, raise our expectations, and continue pushing Baldwin Wrestling to new heights.

That is more than a motto. It is the mindset we expect our wrestlers to carry every day—never being satisfied with yesterday’s accomplishments and always looking for the next challenge, the next opportunity, and the next level.

The future of Baldwin Wrestling is bright, and we are excited to continue building on this historic season.
