Dear Bartram Springs Families,

Welcome to another wonderful year at Bartram Springs Elementary!

As I begin my second year as Assistant Principal, I've spent time reflecting on everything my first year taught me. Above all, I've learned that children thrive when they know they are loved, understood, and valued. While academic growth is always our goal, I believe learning begins with belonging. When students know they are seen, heard, and cared for, they are more confident, resilient, and ready to learn.

One thing I've learned about Bartram Springs is that no one here says, "That's not my student." Our teachers, support staff, office staff, cafeteria team, custodians, paraprofessionals, and administrators all take ownership of creating a school where every child feels welcomed, supported, and cared for. That shared responsibility is something I'm proud to be a part of.

During this school year, I look forward to partnering with you to help every child grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Thank you for trusting us with your children. Together, we'll make this a year filled with learning, kindness, and opportunities for every Eagle to soar.

It is an honor to join the Bartram Springs Elementary School community. I recently relocated from Greenville, South Carolina; however, as a Florida native, I am excited to return “home.” In addition to two years of experience as an administrator, I bring seven years of teaching experience in 1st, 2nd, and 5th grade classrooms. At heart, I am still a teacher, with a deep passion for the art of teaching, fostering meaningful student engagement, and helping students achieve both academic success and confidence in themselves.  

Preparing for a new school year always brings excitement, anticipation, and endless possibilities for what lies ahead — and I already know it is going to be a “sweet” year at Bartram Springs! I am eager to partner with our teachers, students, and families as we continue building a culture of excellence and helping our Eagles soar to new heights. 

I believe the greatest success comes through strong partnerships, intentional work, and a collective commitment to doing what is best for students each and every day. By encouraging intrinsic motivation, fostering meaningful relationships, and working together as one team, we will continue the tradition of greatness that makes Bartram Springs such a special place to learn, grow, and belong. I cannot wait to celebrate all the sweet moments and successes this year will bring. Go Eagles!
