Assistant Principal

Greetings Chimney Lakes Families & Care Givers, 

I am excited about joining Chimney Lakes. I hold a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering Technology from Prairie View A&M University.

Shortly after graduating from college, I became a Computer Engineer in the Midwest until I changed careers and became a Duval County Public Schools educator in 2005. Throughout the years, I taught several subjects at Eugene Butler. In 2013, I was promoted to a Career and Technical Education district specialist.

In 2017, I moved into administration, and I have served as assistant principal at two different schools. I am a disciplinarian that believes in addressing all student needs, while supporting the principal, teachers, and staff. Again, I am super excited to join Chimney Lakes Elementary.

Hello Chimney Lakes Families,

It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself to the Chimney Lakes school family and community. My name is Harmony Darr and I am an Assistant Principal with Duval County Public Schools. I was born and raised right here in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from First Coast High school on the northside.  

After graduation, I attended the University of North Florida. I earned a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and then returned to UNF to complete my master’s degree in educational leadership. I have spent most of my educational career teaching secondary English and just recently joined the world of Elementary.  

As an Assistant Principal, I pride myself on school safety and creating a positive learning environment for all students. I strive to build ongoing relationships with all stakeholders and believe that it truly does take a village. I am beyond excited to continue my work at Chimney Lakes Elementary school in partnership with Ms. Lee, Mr. Brandon and the entire Chimney Lakes family.
