At Chimney Lakes Elementary School, our International Studies Magnet Program opens the door to a world of discovery. Designed to spark curiosity and global awareness, the program immerses students in the rich cultures, traditions, and perspectives of people from around the world.

Our magnet theme is thoughtfully woven throughout the entire curriculum. Each grade level explores a different continent in depth, integrating geography, history, culture, language, art, and real-world connections into daily learning. By the time students graduate from fifth grade, they have developed a broad and meaningful understanding of all seven continents and the diverse cultures that shape our world.

STEM Connections: Innovating Through a Global Lens

STEM learning is an essential part of our International Studies Magnet Program. Students engage in hands-on, inquiry-based STEM experiences that connect science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to global challenges and cultural perspectives.

Our use of state-of-the-art technology, including a student-produced closed-circuit TV studio, allows students to research, create, and present their learning in innovative ways. Providing students with the opportunity to build critical thinking, creativity, and digital literacy skills essential for future success.

Celebrating Cultures: International Culture Fair

Each year, our campus comes alive during our beloved International Cultural Fair, a school-wide celebration of our students' yearlong studies. Families, community members, volunteers, and teachers collaborate to provide hands-on experiences that include:
