At Darnell-Cookman School of the Medical Arts, students experience hands-on learning and healthcare-focused programs that prepare them for successful careers in the medical field. Beginning in middle school, students have opportunities to explore a variety of healthcare careers through engaging, career-focused learning experiences.

In high school, students can pursue Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways that lead to industry recognized certifications in multiple medical specialties. Through the Early College Program, eligible students also have the opportunity to earn a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license while completing their high school education. Darnell-Cookman combines academic excellence with real-world training to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and credentials needed for future success in healthcare.

All students must submit a Special Assignments Application to obtain a seat. There are no entry requirements for middle school students; however, high school students must that successfully completed of Algebra 1 during middle school.
