Once a month our School Advisory Committee team meets to:
Discuss and review the expenditures of School Improvement Plan (SIP) funds.
Receives school culture and budget updates.
Brainstorms solutions to make improvements school wide.
Evaluates the School Improvement Plan (twice a year) to ensure that all requirements are met.
Observes the progress of the school and works along with the administrators to ensure that realistic changes are implemented to increase the yearly progress in academics.
The majority of the SAC members are not employed by DCPS. The SAC is composed of the principal and an appropriately balanced number of teachers, education support employees, students, parents, and other business and community partners that represent the ethnic, racial, and economic community served by the school.
