FORT CAROLINE MIDDLE SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY
Fort Caroline School of the Visual and Performing Arts is a Duval County Public School that enforces a mandatory uniform and appearance code. We expect all students to adhere to the dress code and dress for success daily. Uniform shirts can be ordered through the vendor “Total Impact” or in the school’s Main Office (Cash Only). The link to order from our vendor is https://www.totalimpactjax.com/fort-caroline-middle-school/. Below are the uniform expectations for the upcoming school year.
• SHIRTS: Students must wear a uniform shirt (purchased from the Vendor or in the school’s Main Office) with the Fort Caroline logo. Shirts worn without the logo will not be permitted. All shirts purchased in previous years are also permitted.
• PANTS: Students are permitted to wear pants, provided they are not disruptive or distractive, as determined by the Administration. Students are prohibited from wearing clothing that exposes underwear or body parts. Additionally, leggings, tights and other form fitting pants are not allowed. Clothing which has rips or tears will not be permitted.
• SHOES: Students must wear closed-toe shoes and must have a back. Flip-flops, slides, shower shoes, Crocs, and any shoe that is considered an at “home-shoe” as deemed by Administration will not be permitted.
• OUTERWEAR: All outerwear must be Fort Caroline paraphernalia. These items MUST be purchased from our school vendor. Refer to link above.
• HEADCOVERINGS: Students may wear elastic headbands. Hats, hoods, scarves, wraps, bonnets, and bandanas of any kind will not be permitted.
• STUDENT ID’s: Students must wear ID badges above the waistline, so that they are always easily visible. ID pictures must not be covered. Fort Caroline School of the Visual and Performing Arts enforces the uniform policy and Duval County Public Schools’ Code of Appearance. Refusal to comply with the uniform policy will result in a violation of the Student Code of Conduct.
