A student will be excluded from school if they have one of the following communicable conditions: chicken pox, head lice, influenza, measles, meningitis, mononucleosis, mumps, pink eye, ringworm, scabies, scarlet fever, strep throat, active tuberculosis or whooping cough. The School Board has approved a NO NIT/NO LICE policy. Your child may not attend school if they have nits or lice. Before your child may return to school after treatment, they must be brought to school for re-inspection. If your child has pink eye, they may return to school 24 hours after receiving treatment prescribed by a physician. If your child has ringworm, they may return to school after a note from their physician or the parent establishes that the child has begun treatment and the lesions are covered.
