Welcome to Highlands Middle School! As your proud principal, it is my absolute privilege to welcome you to the upcoming school year. I have had the pleasure of serving DCPS students since 2008 and am excited to be a part of the Highlands community.
Our school is a vibrant community where academic excellence, creativity, and mutual respect thrive. Middle school is a time of incredible growth, exploration, and transition, and our dedicated team of educators is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where every student can achieve their full potential. Greetings Wildcats! I am excited for the opportunity to continue to be part of this school and to support the students, teachers, and families after 6 years of service to Highlands Middle. I am thrilled and privileged to be a part of this wonderful community. I have eighteen years of educational experience within DCPS spanning grades 6 - 8, with a specific concentration in Middle School Science. I have acted as a teacher in Alternative Education, a K - 8 Dean, Testing Coordinator, and my most recent assignment as the Assistant Principal at Highlands Middle School. I love what I do, am passionate, and am energetic. I am deeply honored to work in Duval County Public Schools, with its long history and sustained culture of academic excellence. I am committed to working with the Leadership team and the stakeholders, to nurture our students' academic, social, and emotional development. As we continue encouraging families to be partners in the educational process, my door will always be open. I look forward to an amazing school year.
