
2025-2026 School Uniform Policy
Students will be required to be in uniform every day. We have specific colored shirts for each grade level as indicated below:
New for 2025-2026: Highlands Middle School now offers each student a long-sleeve polo shirt.
Students will not be permitted to layer a t-shirt under their polos. Solid Black Sport-Wick Jackets are being replaced with the letterman jacket, and are available while supplies last.
Shirts
6th Grade - Grey polo-style collared shirts with school logo
7th Grade - Blue polo-style collared shirts with school logo
8th Grade - Orange polo-style collared shirts with school logo



Bottoms
All Grade Levels- Khaki Uniform Pants chino/ cotton/ twill material.
*Absolutely no jeans (no black or khaki colored jeans), leggings, jeggings, joggers, sweatpants, cargo pants, short pants, skirts, or form-fitting bottoms.
All Highlands students are required to wear:
Uniform shirt with Highlands school crest embossed on the front.
Approved Uniform pants (khaki only). Shorts are not allowed.
Shoes must be closed-toe and cannot be backless....No athletic slides, or Crocs are permitted at any time on campus.
All Backpacks should be see-through, clear, or mesh bookbags only.
Jackets
Highlands Middle School jackets may be worn unzipped. All other jackets must be removed once inside the school building.
*Absolutely no pull-over hoodies, camouflage apparel, bandanas or scarves.
STUDENT ID's
Students must wear their ID around their neck at all times. It is a part of the uniform. Lost ID's will be reissued to students at the cost of $5.00.

Duval County Public Schools is committed to the highest forms of safety and security for its students. Students should wear bright or reflective clothing especially early in the morning or evening times in low-light conditions.
