Julia Landon Programs
Academic Advancement
Julia Landon offers a rigorous, academically advanced curriculum designed to challenge and prepare students for future success. Our teachers are gifted endorsed or working toward their endorsement. Students are accelerated at least one year in math, with some advancing two years ahead. All students take Algebra 1 Honors for high school credit, with additional opportunities to earn credit in Geometry Honors, Biology Honors, and Spanish 1.
Gifted
Julia Landon's Gifted Program provides differentiated instruction and academic acceleration through a cluster grouping model. Gifted students are placed in core classes with gifted-certified teachers who collaborate to meet their unique learning needs. Our Gifted Lead supports students, families, and teachers through instructional guidance, professional development, Educational Plan (EP) coordination, and assistance with the transition to high school.
Leadership Development
Leadership development is at the heart of the Landon experience. Through three dedicated leadership courses, one at each grade level, students develop essential skills in communication, collaboration, decision-making, and personal responsibility. Our program encourages students to discover their strengths, take initiative, and lead with integrity while applying their leadership skills in the classroom, throughout our school, and beyond.
Leadership & Service
For nearly two decades, Julia Landon has proudly developed a tradition of Student Ambassadors who represent the best of our school community. Recognized by their peers, teachers, and school leadership, these students demonstrate leadership, serve as positive role models, and take pride in their school and education. Above all, they strive to do what is right - not for recognition, but because it is the right thing to do.
Athletic Programs
At Julia Landon, athletics go beyond competition to build leadership, character, and teamwork. Through sports, our student-athletes develop discipline, accountability, perseverance, and sportsmanship. Whether on the field, court, or in the classroom, our Lions are encouraged to lead by example, support their teammates, and represent Landon with pride. Our athletic programs help students build confidence and become leaders both in sports and in life.
