PBIS: Bizi Kid – Bizi has been very successful in shaping behavior and implementing positive incentives. $15K is required for next year to purchase the management program and stock the store. There is some discussion around DCPS about possibly contracting BIZI district-wide.
Fundraising – Committee discussed standing up a Business Partner program to raise funds. Several parent names were mentioned as potential volunteers to assist with this endeavor. Membership suggested reaching out individually or posting “Help Wanted” to recruit a parent volunteer to get this program launched now for next year.
Leadership Curriculum – May be impacted by budget/staffing cuts and 7-period schedule. Ms. Knoll is working to creatively use thinning resources to continue curriculum while potentially leveraging older JLCP students to serve as tutor/mentor leaders.
Instructional Updates – initial trend data analysis demonstrates Landon test scores are slightly outperformed by JWJ scores at this time. Specific details to be briefed at April meeting. Math and Science course placement/stratification and data for the two schools is reported slightly differently.
Leadership Pride – may be offered as an “elective” next year, engaging the 8th grade students to support cohorts and/or younger students.
